High School – Battlefield High School: Battlefield High School is a state-of-the-art facility located in the northwestern part of Prince William County, Virginia. Established in 2004, BHS opened as Prince William County’s ninth high school with Bull Run Mountain providing a spectacular backdrop. Over 250 staff members serve over 2,900 students in grades nine through twelve in delivering a comprehensive program of academics, arts, and athletics. The campus includes one primary academic building, a separate security residence, an observation tower, and the athletic stadium complex. The academic facility is approximately 276,000 square feet in size, is located on a 79.77-acre site, designed by Moseley Architects. Construction took place beginning in March 2002, with the facility opening on August 19, 2004. Approximately 95% of graduating BHS students matriculate to a college or university.
